for out of town researchers

CCGS has a Research Committee available to search Cleveland County records held in the Society’s Library and Archives.

The Society charges a fee for research of Cleveland County records. These fees support the Cleveland County Genealogical Library and Archives.

30 minute Search — $10.00
A search for one or two names through all our Indexes. The fee includes two photocopies. You will be notified if there are more than two records available for the name(s) you are requesting.

1 Hour Search — $20.00
A search for two to five names through all our Indexes. The fee includes up to five copies. You will be notified if there are more than five records available for the names you are requesting.

Obituaries –$10 per Name
This is a separate fee from the search-fees previously given as the search involves off-site research. The date of death must be included with your request. The fee includes a copy of any obituary found.

Research requests must be in writing. Send your name, address, phone number, and email address along with payment and the names of the person(s) whom you wish researched.

Payment must be made in advance (check or money order), and is non-refundable. Send your requests to:

Research Committee, CCGS
P.O. Box 6176
Norman, Oklahoma 73070

If you are planning a research trip to our office to view our remaining holdings, especially if coming from out of town, please remember to write or call and let us know you are coming. Tell us what families you are researching and what information you hope to find. We can save you much time and frustration if we can do some of the preliminary work before you arrive, and your research time with us will be more satisfying and successful.
